Paint Your Bump Day for Maternal Mental Health Awareness May 6th 2020

After a great success the past 3 years May 6th 2020 is Ireland’s fourth Paint Your Bump Day #pyb2020 for Maternal Mental Health Awareness. It is also World Maternal Mental Health Day

Feelings of anxiety and depression are becoming increasingly common on the road to pregnancy, during pregnancy and after baby is born. We don’t want woman to ignore or suffer through these experiences

We want to raise awareness of this with Paint Your Bump Day 2020

This day is about bringing awareness to Maternal Mental Health both your own and every women out there. Our wish is for women to feel empowered and to empower each other. To spread the word that it’s ok not to be ok, that it’s ok to get help, that its ok to talk about it.

We want you to know that you are not alone, every women experiences different struggles in the transition to motherhood. Becoming a mother is one of the biggest transition you will make in your life.

We are encouraging mums-to-be to paint their bump (using non toxic kids face paints!) and post a picture on social media using #pyb2020. Or maybe you painted your bump in the past and would like to share your images by using the #pyb2020.

If you would like to help or get involved please contact us at maternalmhawareness@gmail.com
